Meet Carla - Chief Impact Officer

After nearly two decades in the nonprofit space, I wanted a change, but didn’t want to lose the opportunity to work with amazing nonprofit organizations doing important work.  So after a lot of soul searching, I decided to start Impact Community Giving, with the mission to support small to medium nonprofits who are doing great work, and may need some additional support.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ME

I have over 15 years of experience in non-profit management, and I'm all about getting results, while improving infrastructure. A few examples include; increased fundraising by over 100% at multiple area nonprofits, designed and implemented a $1M Social Determinants of Health Program Initiative and created a planned giving program with 38 members in it.

My expertise includes fundraising, program design and implementation, strategic partnership development, and budget and financial management. Most recently, I was the Chief Strategic Partnership Officer/Director of Development at Metro Housing|Boston, where I led efforts to create and implement new, innovative programming, overseeing all resource development efforts, and creating and implementing new and expanded volunteer programs.  Before that, I was the executive director at small local nonprofits that focus on public education and youth development.

I hold a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Boston University as well as Political Science degree with a Public Relations minor from Suffolk University.  I'm also affiliated with multiple professional and board associations, including the Association of Professional Fundraisers.
